We exhibited at the Brantford Bridal Expo in January to showcase the Onondaga Hall. Five of our committee members worked for. the Wedding Ring show a week to build a dollhouse sized replica of the hall.
The backdrop for our display was a stunning banner made by Jackson Signs. Fresh flowers were provided by our preferred florist, Passmore’s. Together we offered a wedding and floral package that was very attractive to the many brides with whom we spoke.
On August 10, 2015, the Onondaga on the Grand citizens’ committee offered a proposal to Brant City Council to assume management of the Onondaga Hall. This presentation included PowerPoint slides and speeches. Of the councilors present, the vote was unanimous to accept the Onondaga committee of management. On August 25th, a unanimous vote ratified the earlier decision.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this happen! We are very excited to be in a position to build a stronger community and make new friends! The committee is actively working out the details of management. Very shortly, the Onondaga Community Hall will be open for rentals again.
